ABOUT 

Lisa is a qualified Building Designer and member of the Building Design Association of Queensland (BDAQ). To be a member of the BDAQ she has undertaken formal study qualifications as well as holding a QBCC (Queensland Building & Construction Commission) licence and current professional indemnity insurance. This means you can rest assured that we take pride in the profession and keep up to date with current state and local regulations and industry information.

 

As building designers, we can design anything you might desire, from a carport or small deck extension up to a multi-storey unit development or commercial building and anything in between. 

 

Many people ask, 'What is the difference between a building designer and an architect?' Both professions carry out the same work and are licenced under their respective organisations. It is essential to select a person who is suitably licensed but also someone you feel comfortable with and get along well with. Look for a person who does work that you like and can relate to. You will spend many hours with your designer and it is important you are on the same page. 

 

A good designer will spend time getting to know the clients brief and budget, taking into consideration how the client will use the space that is being designed. They will spend time getting to know the site that they are working with, taking into account orientation, views, breezes and any other constraints on the site.
