This duplex was built on a complicated sloping site. Due to the uneven slope and angled front boundary, the duplex could not be symmetrical, as they usually are. This was beneficial to the appearance of the duplex as it allowed for a much more interesting façade with stepped building line.
The use of mixed materials and colours also adds to the interesting exterior, this carries thru the interior with the use of polished concrete flooring and timber ceilings to verandahs to add colour and texture.
Having the entry and garage on the same level and living areas ensures ease of use and access, with bedrooms on the lower level for privacy. There is also a powder room located on the upper level for convenience and to ensure guests do not need to go downstairs.
